1965 Teisco Del Rey
I saw this guitar at Island Guitars when they were located on Ward in that second story little room, and fell in love with it. It had a really cool vibe, and played decently. The angle from the tailpiece to the bridge wasn't steep enough, so the string tension was lower. I notice when the angle is low, it feels almost like you're playing a longer scale neck tuned to a lower pitch.
I think it was a Japanese made guitar, probably constructed of plywood. It came from the early days of Japanese construction where they were branching out from copying guitars and making original designs.
I didn't use this guitar much, and later sold it to a guy on the internet.
